Today we start our first big build for a long time, this will be using the Eduard Big Ed set and some miscellaneous kits for military kit inside.

1/100 new scale for me
This is the latest addition to the work bench. Tamiya’s 1/100 Dassault Mirage III. Small but should look good in a natural metal finish.
F16 paint begins
USAF medium gray on the tail, Vallejo 71.275 Federal standard FS 36270 The paint went down very well and a superb finish

Paint you won’t see
One of my ‘things’ is detailing what you can’t see as much as you can. And with the right colours, in this case the interior of the body is Zinc Chromate.

Tamiya’s 1/32 Block 50 F16 a great addition the the collection, this will be built with fully functional lighting and a photo etch cockpit

Mosquito legs
Back from a well earned holiday and onto the undercarriage and then the engines. The engine will have something special added to them.

Time to start on the bomb bay, quite a bit of detail in here but looks great once together. The 4 20mm Hispano cannons are well detailed too.

Whilst the Seaview is drying I get to spend time on my own build. Cloth seat belts done, they were fun!!

Quick mini build, first use of MRP paint, verdict…… superb paint best I’ve used yet.
New paint rack
With the growing paint range I needed a bigger rack, so today’s build was exactly that. Also a chance to have a good sort out of the bench. ?

Moving away from the main build to a small side build of the flying sub, very basic so will need a little scratch building added

Decided to start to move over to MRP acrylic lacquer paint, first delivery this morning. Keen to see how I get on with them.
